Fishdom game not working8/18/2023 In the past month or so, yes, I had at least one GGOTD game give me trouble (though it uninstalled just fine), one I needed to download 3 times, and one that I got and just didn't like. Well, thanks to those four developments - running a clean, restored to factory settings computer with Windows 10 on U-Verse and using 7-zip - I's say my download speeds are astronomically faster than they used to be. They gave me a gift card to balance out the installation fee and the cost is lower than what I was paying before (for the first year at least).Īnd I also went ahead and did that Windows 10 upgrade thing. I also picked up the phone one day when it rang and someone from AT&T told me their high speed DSL service was being eliminated and my neighborhood was being migrated to U-Verse. I'd done one of those a year before and had all my older data saved to DVD restore discs but they would not unpack normally so I checked for alternate methods and downloaded the free 7-zip. Since there seem to be a few negative comments from people with problems, I thought I might balance things out and share my positive experiences.Ī month or so ago I had an unresponsive mouse problem (not a positive experience) but an old friend's daughter's friend's brother with fifty computer repairs to his credit got me an updated mouse driver so I could save recent files and then I ran a complete system recovery. Thanks so much to Playrix and GGOTD for this wonderful diversion - I will be entertained for weeks, months. I've only worked on the first tank, but as with other Fishdoms, will progress to designing themed tanks. I also discovered something called Inventory, but have no idea of its function. I noticed there are two kinds of levels: the gameboards and the progress levels that unlock various fish/plants/ornaments/etc. I haven't figured out if there is a place that shows me a list of my fish (I want to get pairs eventually, but can't remember all their names and it's hard to catch up with them while they're swimming). There is a lot going on which is almost too much but lots of fun. This is so much fun!! I wish I could talk to my fishes, or as another person commented: go swimming with them! The music is very similar to other Fishdoms, and I usually lower the volume. but I jumped right into downloading then playing. I was thrilled to see Fishdom 3, although it was so early in the giveaway that no comments were posted. My beagle had me up early this morning with his digestive issue, so I put him out and decided to check GGOTD. You can then try the iOS 13 installation over iTunes instead. How to put your iPhone or iPad into DFU mode We have a comprehensive guide to putting your iPhone or iPad into DFU mode. Putting an Apple device into DFU mode is different for different models and years. You'll need access to iTunes, the internet, and your lightning cable to reload the OS, though. If all else seems lost, you can escalate all the way to device firmware update (DFU) mode. What if even Recovery mode doesn't work? Can you DFU for iOS 13 or iPadOS 13?

Certainly, the big social media with quantified vote-counts, followers, shares, and in the absence of fact-checking, are incentivizing the death of civil discourse based on, uhh, facts. Treating social media as a vice doesn't have to mean full ban until they're adults. That way, once they do have free access, the novelty is not so great and hopefully they'll be able to behave more responsibly. I'm personally planning on letting my children consume small amounts of alcohol while they are under our supervision to give them experience. In the US, I do think that straight prohibition-style banning of all alcohol from children is also not a good idea largely due to the example you've given where once children become adults and have free access to alcohol, their lack of experience with the substance can cause issues. I agree that alcohol would be a better parallel here and I was simply using the parent comment's example.Īlcohol is considered a vice and we not only have laws which prohibit children from its consumption, at least in the US, it's culturally accepted that it's generally not appropriate for children to be drinking. Maybe even talk a bit about guanxi, and how people that freak them out now, will change a lot. Just do all you can to get ahead of the idea that they are in a concrete hierarchy, because make no mistake, they are in a hierarchy. Treat it all like it was your career and you were angling for a promotion or to not be fired, but are pulling your hair out from stress and imposter syndrome. Do they view social butterflies that go between cliques as inauthentic? What happens when they see the odd-ones-out get made fun of? Careful there especially, but that is kind of the crux of it all. try to get a sense of where they have gravitated and where they have animus. Have they even been in a distinctly expensive house, or a poor household? Ask if they know anyone on sports teams, or anyone in the art department, those who were homeschooled, are highly religious, etc. If they dont have all the expensive jackets and shoes, unpack how that affects their interactions. Get a sense of how hierarchical their view of their peers is - and, if they are open enough, how they think about themselves in that picture. Interestingly, I'm also struck at how unclear it might be as to which is the worst of these two "generational original sins".ĭespite all the health effects, maybe no one lost the ability to think deeply or critically assess propaganda or fall into a cult or become obsessed with their appearance or spent thousands of dollars to throw perfectly functioning pocket computers in the bin for slightly bigger ones from smoking?Ī funny image comes to mind of senile Millennials refusing to give up their social media smartphones despite their carers' best efforts, wildly declaring that they've been scrolling timelines since before the carers were born and have been fine. Maybe the best first step for parents would be to quit social media / smartphones themselves and get more active in creating alternative ways of being (however easier said than done that is)? It might also lead to some uncomfortable reflections on the world us Millennials are passing on. For parents now who have similar stories, it might be a helpful perspective to have on how these things tend to happen and what's required to actually address any problems. If there's something to this analogy, I feel like it'd be worth being more commonly known.įor me, as a Millennial/Xennial, I sure as hell criticised the elders close to me for their smoking and their taking up the habit in their youth. The MCAT is designed to find test takers that have certain unique skills that are directly correlated with success in medical education. The MCAT is developed and administered by testmaker Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) to provide med schools with common measures for comparing applicants’ qualifications and preparedness for med school. The Medical College Admission Test (MCAT), is a multiple-choice, computer-based, standardized exam that is required for admission to medical schools in the United States and Canada. Kaplan is the official MCAT® prep of the American Medical Student Association. Passages on topics within the social sciences and humanities are presented and then a series of questions asks you to reason about the material presented–just as you would be expected to do in medical school and in your medical careers. The last section, Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills, is a unique part of the exam in that it is a pure test of critical thinking. Therefore, you should know how to integrate and analyze information in different contexts using various skills and content databases. Three of the four sections on the MCAT test your basic science content knowledge by requiring you to critically use the information rather than just provide individual scientific facts. The breakdown of MCAT questions is 10 passages with 4 to 7 questions each and 15 stand-alone questions in each of the science sections, and 9 passages in the Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills (CARS) section. On the 2023 MCAT, you’ll face 230 questions over 6 hours and 15 minutes. What’s tested on the MCAT this year? The MCAT exam not only measures your content knowledge in General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, General Biology, Biochemistry, Physics, Psychology, and Sociology-it also tests your critical analysis and reasoning skills.
